100 Followers!? Game Day #2: Inspire

Happy Tuesday!

J over at Beauty’s Expert Amateur is the *only* person who asked me a question from my 100 Followers “Random Something Game: Day 1“. Remember – the first 5 bloggers to reach 500 points will be featured on my blog the week of September 4th. If you want in on that, be sure to participate throughout this week!

J’s question: People always say that the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree, there doesn’t seem to be any choice in the matter! Would you want your children to be like you, and if not, why not?

This one makes me sit back and really think. I’ve thought about this one for over 24 hours. And here’s what I’ve come up with:

Yes and no! Yes because I’ve overcome some really ugly things already in this lifetime and I’d like to believe I’ve come out a stronger, better version of myself. I’d love to see them pursue a lifestyle with Young Living, live lives full of purpose, wellness, and abundance, and for them to have the same desire to help others achieve the burning desires in their hearts. No because I don’t wish for my worst enemy to feel the way I did in my darkest days. I can’t imagine the way my mama felt when I thought there was no way out, and I hope and pray that none of my children ever feel that there’s no help left.

Thanks so much for your question(s), J! AND! This 2 part question really made me say hmm and feel a little vulnerable, so you’ve also earned the 50 point bonus leaving you with a total of 70 points so far! Congratulations, you are in the lead for being featured on my blog!!

Today’s “Random Something Game”:

What’s your favorite inspirational quote?

I love feeling inspired. It makes me want to take on my day with real purpose and abundance. 50 points earned for every inspirational quote shared. I CANNOT wait to see what inspires everyone! I’ll share mine tomorrow.

  1. I have two kids…one is a laid back, totally accepting person…the other is a Don Quijote wanne-be just like his mom. My favorite inspirational quote is from my 8x great grand-uncle Thomas Paine: “I believe in the equality of man; and I believe that religious duties consist in doing justice, loving mercy, and endeavoring to make our fellow-creatures happy.”
